Scholarships Available from CCMFOA
Spring Conference
Scholarship – Three scholarships will be awarded to cover
the registration fee. The applicant must be a Association member in good
standing; must be a City Clerk, Assistant City Clerk or Deputy City
Clerk; must be a first-time attendee; and must submit a written
statement of why you want to receive the scholarship. There will be no
restriction on the size of the city; class 1, 2 and 3 cities are
eligible.
- The applicant must be a current member of the Association, hold
the title of City Clerk, Assistant City Clerk or Deputy Clerk.
- The applicant must be a first-time attendee
- They must submit a written statement giving reasons for receiving the
scholarship.
Only one scholarship will be awarded per city for
the same year.
Letters of application will be accepted December 1, through
February 1, CCFOA Treasurer. Letters must be received via
first class mail (postmarked no earlier than December 1); faxes and
e-mail will NOT be accepted.

Certification
Institute Scholarship – Eight scholarships will be awarded to
cover the registration fee, with one going to each region on a first come,
first serve basis. If an application is not received from each region, the
remaining scholarship(s) will be awarded at-large on a first come, first
serve basis. There will be no restriction on the size of the city seeking a
scholarship however priority will be given to cities of the second and third
class.
- The applicant must be a current member of the Association, hold the
title of City Clerk, Assistant City Clerk or Deputy Clerk.
- They must commit to complete the 4-year certification program.
- They must submit a written statement giving reasons for attending
and what it will mean to work toward Certification.
- A letter of support must be submitted for the City
Administrator or Mayor/Council supporting the application and
educational commitment.
A person may receive only one institute scholarship, and only one
scholarship may be awarded to any city per year.
Letters of application will be accepted August 1, 2011, through
September 30, 2011, CCMFOA Treasurer. Letters must be received via first

Master Academy Scholarship
– One scholarship will be awarded to cover the registration fee for the
Academy. The scholarship will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis
with no restriction on the size of the city.
- The applicant must be a current member of the Association, and hold
the title of Certified Municipal Clerk.
- They must submit a written statement of why they would like to
receive the scholarship and the reasons for attending.
A person may receive only one scholarship to the academy.
Letters of application will be accepted August 1, 2011, through

Applications for the 2012 IIMC Conference Scholarship
will be accepted from August 1 until September 30, 2011 Extended to
October 31, 2011.

POLICY FOR AWARD OF THE IIMC CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS
ELIGIBILITY
The nominee must be a member of the state Association and a member of
IIMC in order to be eligible for the IIMC Conference scholarship.
Individuals are only eligible to receive this scholarship one time.
AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIPS

The scholarships will pay for registration,
airfare or mileage to the conference location (depending upon the
cheaper mode of transportation), hotel, meals and transfers to and
from the airport, up to $2,000.

The total cost of expenses shall not exceed
$2,000.

The scholarship will not pay for optional events,
including, Academy seminars, Athenian Dialogue or MCEF Walk, etc.

Costs incurred by the recipient’s employer will
be reimbursed to the employer before costs are reimbursed to the
recipient.
NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS TO BE AWARDED
Two individuals will be selected to receive scholarships to attend the
IIMC Conference. The Association will provide only two scholarships for
the IIMC Conference, not including the President. The years Kansas has
an IIMC Region VII Director, only one scholarship will be provided if
the Region VII Director’s city will not pay his/her expenses. The
Association will fund a maximum of three attendees per year, the
President of the Association and two others. The recipient winners will
be announced at the November business meeting.

Board supporting your commitment to CCMFOA/IIMC educational
programs.
